What We’ve Done So Far - Children’s Aid Reports
We are dedicated to helping Ukrainian children — from little ones in relocated families to teenagers and young children living with disabilities.
2025
In 2025, our community in Colorado came together once again to stand with children and families in Ukraine. Through the “Colorado Freedom Bags”, Christmas Market ‘ 24 fundraising events and additional online donations for the “Children of Ukraine” cause, we raised a total of $6,450 for humanitarian needs.
Every dollar was directed to concrete, practical help for families living through war, disability, and displacement.
Where Your Donations Went:
1. Humanitarian packages for 40 families in Odesa – $2,000 in January and $2000 in July.
We partnered with the charitable organization “M Corp” in Odesa to deliver humanitarian packages to 40 families with children with disabilities and families with very young children in need. Each package included essentials such as diapers, baby food suited to their specific needs, essential hygiene items and, to bring a little joy, a few boxes of cookies the children always look forward to. Each family received help from us two times this year.
2. Medical help for 5 children with disabilities (autism, skeletal-muscle syndromes) in Zaporizhzhya – $1,000
Through the charitable organization “Happy Child” in Zaporizhzhya, we supported 5 children with disabilities who required rehabilitation, medical procedures, and supplies.
Your donations helped ensure these children received treatment that can significantly improve their quality of life and long-term prospects.
3. Direct help for 10 families with teenagers with disabilities – $650
In the regions of Kryviy Rig, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv, we provided direct financial support to 10 families raising teenagers with disabilities. These are the most vulnerable families, because they are not receiving help from any other charities.
4. Summer camp equipment for displaced children in Zaporizhzhya – $800
Also with “Happy Child”, we funded summer camp equipment—tents, backpacks, and sleeping bags—for children from internally displaced families.
This gear is durable and reusable, so it will serve not just one camp session, but many summers to come, allowing more children year after year to attend camp.
For kids growing up under the stress of war, these camps provide a much-needed break: a chance to play, explore nature, make friends, and feel like children again in a safe and supportive environment.
2024
In 2024 were able to provide 50 families with disabled children in Ukraine with a supply of food and hygienic items.Every family that received help was confirmed to be the ones in need, and every family are deeply grateful and sends the best wishes to their friends from Colorado.
Please review the detailed reports, that includes photos of the children, received aid and words from these people. Your support made this possible.
