Our work

Dear Community:

Since we gathered in August for our Colorado Ukrainian Festival, we have been busy at work helping Ukraine! From helping Ukrainian orphans with warm clothes in Zaporizhzhia and distributing food in Kherson, to welcoming combat-injured veterans in Colorado and purchasing over $8,000 worth of first aid supplies for the front - and much much more, see the full list below.

Since the festival in late August, Ukrainians of Colorado have been busy at work! Here is what we've been up to:

-Gathered at the capitol for Ukrainian Independence Day!

-Provided the orphanage in Zaporizhia with warm clothes for the upcoming winter

-Provided power banks to soldiers near Bahkmut that are in need of electricity

-Delivered 1,200 items of humanitarian hygiene items to the people of Kherson region

-Participated in the charity drive "Cannabis for Ukraine"

-Welcomed three combat-injured veterans to Colorado together with the Unconquered Foundation

-Delivered 3 sets of multiple luggages of medical supplies and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, with the help of volunteers

-Purchased tactical stretchers for the military in Ukraine

-Delivered plenty of necessary vegetables to Kherson regions, as villages are having difficulty with it at this time.

-Provided medical bandages and gauze to soldiers and those in need near the frontlines

-Had a meeting with Ryan Guirlenger, Ukraine’s Political Unit Chief, Office of Eastern European Affairs, U.S. Department of State

-Helped our sister organization Sunflower Seeds Ukraine package pallets of aid for Ukraine

-Provided four big bags of medical supplies to K9 Global Rescue

-Ran a children clothes Drive for distribution in Ukraine by our representative Andriy Matya

-In total we have spent over $8,000 on medical supplies for soldiers on the frontlines and those in need.

-We also provided $2,500 for a non-profit in Dnipro to help internal refugees and displaced people in Ukraine.

-Helped 140 orphans from Zhaporizhzhia orphanage moved to Lvivska oblast

-Provided canned goods, cereals, pasta, and other humanitarian goods to the soldiers in Donbas

-Fundraised $2,155.25 for organizations ‘Community Self Help’ and ‘Veteranka’ in Ukraine for Medical Backpacks.
